The Asbury Park Police Department made the following arrests Aug. 19 through Aug. 26.
On Aug. 19 a 52-year-old male of Asbury Park, was arrested in the area of the 1100 block Main Street and charged Driving While Intoxicated. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on summonses with a pending court date to a responsible party. Patrolman Andrew Slinger was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 19 a 17-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested in the area of the 1100 block of Springwood Avenue for fleeing a juvenile detention center. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was turned over to officers with the Justice Commission. Patrolman Jonathan DiOrio was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 19 a 24-year-old male of Asbury Park, was arrested in the area of First Avenue and Main Street for multiple contempt of court warrants out of Asbury Park. He was transported to and processed at headquarters. He was released on his own recognizance with a new pending court date. Patrolman Samuel Rodriguez was the arresting officer.
- On Aug.20, 20 a 58-year-old male of Neptune was arrested in the area of the 1100 block of Springwood Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. He was released on summonses with a pending court date. Patrolman Anthony Arancio was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 20 two 15-year-old males, one a resident of Asbury Park and the other of Neptune were arrested in the area of the 2100 block of West Lake Avenue and charged with witness tampering. One of the males was additionally charged with terroristic threats. One male was turned over into the care of a custodian, while the other was transported to and secured at the Middlesex County Youth Detention Center with a pending a court appearance. Detective Scott Ritter was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 20 a 24-year-old male resident of Neptune was arrested in the area of the Sewall Avenue and Main Street and charged with receiving stolen property and credit card theft. During this investigation a 30-year-old male resident of Freehold was also arrested for obstructing the administration of law. Both males were transported to and processed at headquarters. Both males were released on summonses with a pending court date. Patrolman Jonathan DiOrio and John Sarno were the arresting officers.
On Aug. 21 a 23-year-old female resident of Port Monmouth was arrested in the area of the 300 block of Main Street and charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on summonses with a pending court date. Patrolman Sean McGrady was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 23 a 57-year-old male resident of Middletown Township was arrested in the area of the 100 block of Memorial Drive and charged with defiant trespass. The male was also found to have an active contempt of court warrant out of Red Bank, The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on a summons for the complaint and turned over to the Red Bank Police Department for the warrant. Patrolman Matthew Buttermark was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 23 an 18-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested in the area of Washington Avenue and Ridge Avenue and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon (knife) and disorderly conduct. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on a summons with a pending court date. Sergeant Robert Champouillon was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 23 a 62-year-old male resident of the Asbury Park was arrested in the area of the 1100 block of Atlantic Avenue and charged with defiant trespass. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolwoman Herline Valcin was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 23r as the result of a motor vehicle stop, two males 18 and 19-years-old, both residents of Asbury Park were arrested in the area of Third Avenue and Memorial Drive and each charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of prohibited weapons (Hollow point rounds). The 19-year-old was additionally charged with obstructing administration of law and resisting arrest. Also arrested during the stop was a 22-year-old male resident of Brick Township and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance oxycodone and distribution of the same. All males were transported to headquarters for processing. The 22-year-old was released on a summons and the 18 and 19-year-old were transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Patrolman Marc Caldwell was the arresting officer. Patrolmen James Hand, Michael Hand, Lorenzo Pettway and Sergeants Sean De Shader and Robert Champouillon assisted in the investigation.
On Aug. 24 a 24-year-old male resident of Asbury Park was arrested in the area of the 300 block of Sunset Avenue and charged with defiant trespass. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman Samuel Rodriguez was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 24 a 40-year-old male resident of Edison was arrested in the area of the 1200 block of Ocean Avenue and charged with obstructing the administration of law. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman Vincent Gargiulo was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 25 a 49-year-old male resident of Toms River, NJ was arrested in the area of the Pine Street and Sewall Avenue and charged with Drug Paraphernalia. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman Anthony Arancio was the arresting officer.
- On August 25th, 2024 a 36-year-old male resident of Neptune City, NJ was arrested in the area of the 1400 block Asbury Avenue and charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Heroin and Cocaine. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman Anthony Arancio was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 25 two females, a 23 and 29-years-old both of Asbury Park were arrested in the area of Atkins Avenue and Mattison Avenue for Disorderly Conduct Fighting. Both females were transported to and processed at headquarters and released on summonses with a pending court date. Patrolman Fidencio Flores was the arresting officer.
- On August 25th, 2024 a 36-year-old male resident of Asbury Park, NJ was arrested in the area of the 1200 block of Washington Avenue and charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Mischief. The male was transported to and processed at headquarters. The male was then transported to and secured at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Patrolman Vincent Gargiulo was the arresting officer.
- On Aug. 25 a 25-year-old female resident of Red Bank was arrested in the area of the 900 block of Ocean Avenue and charged with Aggravated Assault on Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct.
