After weeks of receiving reports about a young deer running around town with something stuck around its neck, officers, wit the assistance of SCPA officials, were able to get hold of the deer in question and remove the foreign object around its neck. It was released unharmed after the incident.

While officers were participating in the rescheduled National Night Out, they were advised of a vehicle that had gone around the barricades and driven into the area, where pedestrians were in the roadway. After making contact with the driver, a 34-year old Woodbridge woman, she was taken into custody on DWI related charges, and her BAC was later found to be almost three times the legal limit. She was processed and released to a responsible/sober adult, after being issued .five summonses. Her vehicle was also impounded. Ptl Williams was the arresting officer.

During the early evening hours officers responded to the beachfront for a report of a possible domestic dispute. Officers made contact with the couple, who were homeless, and were able to make phone calls arranging for social services to assist them. Sgt Lipari and SO II Griffin were the responding officers.

There were no reported injuries and both vehicles were towed from the scene. One of the drivers was issued a summons for failure to yield right of way at an intersection.
