On Sept. 12 on Park Place Avenue Luis A. Vializ, 53, of Asbury Park was once again arrested and charged with theft after police responded to a report of a bike theft that had just occurred. A resident saw Vializ enter his backyard and steal his bicycle, leading to a short foot pursuit where Vializ stole a different bike from a neighboring yard in an attempt to elude the first victim and police.
Vializ was apprehended by Sgt. Major and placed under arrest with the assistance of Police Officer. Kevin Gale. Det. Terry Browning and Lt. Anthony Murray also responded and assisted in the arrest and investigation. Vializ was ultimately charged with two counts of theft, two counts of criminal trespass and one count of resisting arrest.
The Bradley Beach Police Department investigated six motor vehicle accidents between Sept. 9 and Sept. 24.
