The Bradley Beach Fire Department is scheduled to host an in-person candidate forum at the Bradley Beach Fire Department Banquet Hall Oct. 27.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Residents are invited to meet mayoral and Borough Council candidates. The banquet hall seats 225.
The fire department said the goal is to enhance public understanding of both the election process and the candidates running for office.
Amy Goldsmith, an experienced and independent neutral moderator, will facilitate the event. She has has more than 27 years of experience moderating municipal elections across New Jersey and currently serves as a director for an environmental nonprofit organization. Residents will have the opportunity this year to elect a new mayor and the choice of one council member to fill an unexpired term. All candidates have been contacted and all have been provided an outline of the event. Over the past weeks, the moderator has fielded several questions concerning the format.
The four candidates have been invited. They are Al Gubitosi and William Psiuk for mayor and Shana Greenblatt and Donald Warnet for the council seat.
