Heart to Hearth Gallery in Ocean Grove is closing after 15 years.

Laura Checki has owned the From Heart to Hearth Gallery at 62-A Main Ave. in Ocean Grove for 15 years, but is now making plans to close the business in early 2025.
Checki has notified the vendors that have space there that the closing is the result of a notice from the building owner that he has plans to use the space himself, but did not elaborate on those plans.
From Heart to Hearth specializes in antiques and collectibles and currently has seven vendors open, but there have been as many as 15 renting space at one time. Checki is also the current president of the Ocean Grove Chamber of Commerce and intends to continue in that position until her term ends in October, 2025. Checki says the chamber holds several events throughout the year that play an important role in the Ocean Grove economy.
She isn’t certain of her future after closing the business, but has several options and says her time in Ocean Grove has been a wonderful experience, with many repeat customers and collectors from what she calls the Thrifting Industry which brings people from places like England and France looking for great deals. Thrifting is the practice of visiting as many thrift shops as possible in search of unique items in good condition.
From Heart to Hearth will be open through the holiday shopping season.
