You’ll notice the bride and groom and other features in this photo showing one of the holiday scenes decorating the teller stations at Kearny Bank in Bradley Beach.

Customers at the Kearny Bank on Main Street in Bradley Beach are once again being greeted by whimsical holiday scenes as they wait on the teller line.
Teller Lynda Capobianco, a town resident who has worked at the bank for 19 years, has spent many a Christmas season collecting items for her holiday vignettes – villages with snowmen, trees, people, dogs, a bookstore and even a brewery.
Her assistant manager, Samantha Apolito, also purchases many items for the collections and is just as enthusiastic about the project, Capobianco said.
In all, there are six vignettes decorating the teller stations – and offering customers a fun way to pass the minutes waiting to complete their bank business.
“We do this every year – and it’s never the same,” C
apobianco says of the arrangements.
And customers look forward to the scenes and comment on them “as soon as they walk in,” she says.
They also notice when the characters or backgrounds change.
This year, Capobianco said, she and A
polito have added a bride and groom, hot chocolate, more trees, and even some (miniature) bears – among other touches.
So if you’re planning a trip to the Kearny Bank, you can’t miss the Christmas spirit in the air.
And the scenes will be on display until “Little Christmas,” the Feast of the Epiphany, or until about Jan. 6, Capobianco said.
