Incumbents re-elected to serve on the Asbury Park City Council will be sworn in for new four-year terms at a special meeting Wed., Jan. 15.
The council reorganization meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Jan. 15 in the Council Chambers, 1 Municipal Plaza, according to the City Clerk’s office.
Incumbents Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn and Councilwomen Yvonne Clayton and Eileen Chapman won re-election in November by a wide margin, running as the Asbury Together team. They were challenged by candidates Garrett Giberson, John Loffredo and Jill Potter.
The five-member City Council is led by Mayor John Moor; the other councilmember is Angela Ahbez-Anderson. The council operates under a non-partisan form of government, with council terms of four years.
Quinn has served on the council since 2013 and has been deputy mayor since 2015; Clayton has served since 2015 and Chapman has served since 2016.
The next regular meeting of the City Council is Jan. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Council Chambers.
