No more wondering about the opening of the new Outback Steakhouse on Route 35 in Ocean Township.
The opening is planned for April 15 with a ribbon cutting April 16, according to Amber Stanton, managing partner of the restaurant at 2135 Route 35-North at West Park Avenue.
One of 25 Outbacks in New Jersey, all corporate owned, the Ocean location will feature the traditional Outback menu which Stanton says are craveable dishes, bold flavors and high quality.in the Aussie Spirit.
“No rules, just right,” she said.
The menu will feature the Bloomin’ Onion, Outback’s most popular and signature appetizer, and there is also a kid’s menu.
The completely remodeled restaurant seats 180 diners who will be served by a staff that is now in training for their new positions.
Stanton is a Colorado native and has been with the company 14 years.
She said Outback Steakhouse likes to incorporate the local area into the artwork of its restaurants and for Ocean Township, there’s a painting of a kangaroo, called “Roo” with dark glasses, an homage to Bruce Springteen and the Stone Pony in Asbury Park and the shore.
Opening day profits will be donated to two local organizations – the Heart of Surfing and the New Jersey Veteran’s Network.
Outback Steakhouse is located at the corner of West Park Avenue and Route 35. The hours are Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
