Detectives from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Asbury Park Police Department are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a local man April 8, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said.
On Tues., April 8 at approximately 4:25 p.m., members of the Asbury Park Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Atlantic Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, later identified as Ah’kim Esdaile, 19, was rushed to a local hospital, where he would later succumb to his injuries.
