Four-year-old twins Luca and Tommy DiGiulio-Soucey of Asbury Park appear to be digging for buried treasure on the Asbury Park beach Sun., May 24. Their father, Chris, said he and his family plan to go to the beach as much as possible. “I am optimistic for a good summer beach season,” he said.
Erin McEvoy and Phoebe Carr are serving treats from Bettys Icebox to customers on the boardwalk. The business has been operating from Convention Hall but now mut operate from the boardwalk since the hall is closed to the public. Carr’s family owns the business and she said they are “glad to be open.” She said business is good but not like it would be if Convention Hall was open. “As long as people are around we will do all right,” she said.
Mother/daughter team Christina and Gabriel Cucinotta stay entertained Sunday by playing a lawn game with friends at their house near the Asbury Park beachfront. They said a lawn game is the perfect way to spend a cloudy day in Asbury Park and have some fun while avoiding crowds.
