An investigation into a fatal shooting that took place Mon., Jan. 2 in Neptune remains ongoing, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said Wed., Jan. 4.
On Jan. 2 members of the Neptune Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Drummond Avenue for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found Terrance D. Johnson-Simmons, 34, most recently of Brick Township, the victim of a gunshot wound. Johnson-Simmons was later pronounced deceased on scene.
