coaster-news-200-newThe Allenhurst Police Department, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, will be sponsoring a blood drive, to be held at the Allenhurst Borough Hall, 125 Corlies Ave. on Mon., June 22 from 1to 6 p.m.

Blood donations are usually at their lowest points during the summer months, and sadly, that is often when they are also needed the most. Donating blood takes very little time, uses state of the art equipment, and involves highly trained professionals, from the American Red Cross. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended, as it keeps waiting times to a minimum. A valid ID and 15 minutes of your time, could mean
the difference of life or death to another person. Donating blood will make you someone’s hero, in fact, more than one life can be saved with just one donation.

Appointments can be made online, by visiting “redcrossblood.org” and following the prompts, when selecting the Allenhurst location.

Any questions, or requests for specific donation times, can also be directed to Capt Michael Schneider at 732-531-2255.
