Robert M. McKeon, who was director of Property Management and Neighborhood Preservation for Asbury Park, from 2014 to 2020, said he is running for a seat on the Asbury Park City Council.
McKeon said he plans to submit his petitions Aug. 27.
There are three seats open on the council in the November election.
MeKeon is a member of the Board of Directors of the Asbury Park Theater Company, Inc. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Arts Coalition of Asbury Park from 2006 to 2010 and served on the Board of Directors of the Center in Asbury Park from 1999 to 2012 and served as president from 2008 to 2012.
He is an attorney with practice focus in the areas of real estate law; zoning and planning.
Council members Eileen Chapman, Amy Quinn and Yvonne Clayton are seeking reelection. Kerry Butch and Felicia Simmons are also running together in the Nov. 3 election for three council seats.
