OCEAN TOWNSHIP – The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a free seminar May 15 to show business people how they can use Facebook to effectively market their business. The speaker is chamber member Robert Hazelrigg, Creative Director of both The Graphics Guy and Laughing Zebra, who is a Facebook specialist.

In addition to discussing such topics as Pay-Per-Clicks, How to Engage “Fans” and the importance of brand consistency, he will offer a Q&A.

According to the State of Inbound Marketing, HubSpot, March 2012, the number of businesses that say that Facebook is critical or important to their business has increased by 75 percent from 2009 to 2012. They added in 2012 companies that acquired customers from Facebook B2C 77 percent (Business to Consumer) and B2B 43% (Business to Business).

“Robert is a Facebook master who stays on top of changes made by the social media site,” said Kim Horn Blanda, chamber executive director. “Still, many business people are confused or apprehensive about using Facebook for business. This is their opportunity to ask questions of an expert,” she added.

While the event is free and open to the general public, advance reservations are required and can be made online at gotcc.org. Since seating is limited, the Chamber requests that people not make reservations unless they are certain that they can attend so that others are not boxed out.

The seminars will be held on Wed., May 15 at Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road in Neptune at 5 p.m.
