The Neptune Township Board of Education is hosting its 15th annual Black History Celebration with this year’s theme Black Migrations on Sat. Feb. 16 at the Michael T. Lake Performing Arts Center, 56 Neptune Blvd.
There will be a reception with light refreshments at noon, with art and music by students.
At 12:30 p.m. Senior Griot Videos before the main program from 1 p.m to 3p.m.
The program Black Migrations will feature family stories form The Sand Hill Indiana, Southern, Haitian and Caribbean Roots.
The event is free and open to the public.
