Via Mare Italian Restaurant and Bar is open in Bradley Beach. The new restaurant at 1217 Main St. is in the space formerly occupied by the Ground Round which closed last year..
Via Mare, which means transported from the sea, is owned by partners Sebastian Tranchina and Michael Fauci and serves traditional Italian Cuisine as well as pizza baked in a new wood burning brick oven that heats at 1,000 degrees. That means a 12-inch pizza can be ready in about 90-seconds, according to Fauci.
Tranchina is also the owner of Luigi’s Pizza in West Grove Square and Fauci, a native New Yorker, formerly worked at Patrizia’s in Red Bank. Fauci is the restaurant Manager and points out that the new Via Mare is a white tablecloth fine dining restaurant that is completely separate from the bowling lanes. It does have a concession in the adjacent Bradley Beach Bowling which is served by a separate menu as well as a separate bar. The new dining room seats 80 and there are 20 seats at the bar.
Via Mare is open daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Featured image above from their Facebook page.
