Brian Williams: What do you think?

Michael Murphy w/Micahla, Asbury Park - I don’t think the six month suspension is enough. He’s there to deliver the honest news and making up getting shot down in a helicopter is a big lie. People are going to question.

Michael Isaacson & Luis Nobrega, Asbury Park - We think he should retire. He’s lost his credibility. We do think he should have the opportunity to explain himself.

Michael Prince, Wall - I think it’s ridiculous. I like Brian Williams. I think he should get a pass on this. It’s not the worst thing in the world to happen.

Dick Weisman, Sea Bright - I think they’re piling on him. I think what he did was wrong, but I also think he;s suffered enough. I think everyone should ease off him. He’s suffered enough. He’s lost his job and his paycheck.

Tom O’Leary, Asbury Park - What I really think is that he provided the vultures with another piece of carrion to feast on. All the nothings, all the little people who’ve never done anything in their life, are there to tear him apart.

Allison & Tim McGoughran, Wayside - It’s a sad way to end a long and storied career. We hope that people forgive and this native New Jerseyan lands on his feet.

Steven & Theresa McCarthy, Bradley Beach -We think it’s highly disappointing. He was a highly regarded news anchor and when you betray the public trust, you can never regain that credibility back. There may be a few more stories coming out about him meeting the pope or riding with Seal Team 6. We don’t know why he would need to do that.

Harry Lee Harris, Neptune - I don’t watch him that much, but I think he needs to be let go. If he does it, how many more do it. He’s supposed to report, not put his own opinion in. It puts a black eye on all the honest reporters.

Jacqueline & Gerald Aponte, Farmingdale - We think his penalty of six months should be sufficient. Let him return to newscasting. Forgive and forget.

Polar Express Stopping at Shore

By JOSEPH SAPIA On Tuesday, Donna Ryan was out of breath, shoveling snow on a neighbor’s sidewalk on Bradley Beach’s Ocean Avenue. “I’ve had enough,” said Ryan, 49, speaking of the winter weather. The snow is one thing, but the cold has been worse — frozen pipes, the furnace chugging to keep up. “It’s […]
