Stroll Back in Time Becoming Bradley Beach Tradition

The Bradley Beach Historical Society is sponsoring the second annual Stroll Back in Time on Sun., Sept. 22 beginning at 4 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now for history buffs who love the good old days. Participants are invited to dress-to-impress in outfits from the 30s, 40s or 50s, and gather at the Bradley Beach Fifth Avenue Gazebo at 4 p.m. to take a short, glamorous stroll on the boards.

A photographer will capture images recreating the past. Prizes will be awarded for the best Women’s ensemble, best Men’s suit and Best Couple.

Afterward, ticket holders will meet at Marandola’s Italian Restaurant at 608 Main Street, for a prefix three-course dinner. Diners will share personal stories from the seaside resort’s colorful history.

Tickets to A Stroll Back in Time are $45 for members of the Bradley Beach Historical Society and $50 for non-members. All tickets are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Proceeds will benefit the Historical Society.

All are invited to walk the boardwalk in historic costume or just cheer the strollers along the way.

Only ticket holders will be eligible to win prizes, including a BBHS family membership for 2020.  A limited number of dinner tickets remain.

“For everyone nostalgic for an old-fashion good time, this event is just the ticket,” said Simone Hazel, who originated the idea.
