Fusion Jewelry at 52 Main Ave in Ocean Grove will host a pop-up art gallery event with a charitable twist. On Wed., Dec. 6 Fusion will become the new home of a gallery of jewelry themed artwork by the Shrewsbury artist Lisa Ficarelli-Halpern. Fusion will also be donating 20 percent of the day’s proceeds directly to Mary’s Place by the Sea in Ocean Grove – a volunteer run home where women with cancer can go for rest and rehabilitation.
Ficarelli-Halpern is a working artist and teacher. She is an adjunct professor of art at New Jersey City University and Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, New Jersey. Her paintings and prints have been widely exhibited in galleries from Chicago to New York to Florida, as well as throughout New Jersey.
The event will be held from 11am till 9 pm with a 7 p.m. cocktail hour with the artist. The artwork will remain in Fusion for a week after the initial premiere evening. The event is open to the public and friends, customers, and locals are all welcome to shop for a good cause, get ahead of the holiday rush, and enjoy a local artist’s extraordinary work.
