The Ocean Grove Beach Foundation has raised money for many Ocean Grove projects including planting dune grass.
The Ocean Grove Beach Foundation (OGBF), an independent non-profit organization supporting Ocean Grove beach operations and improvement projects, will hold a Winter Social fundraiser Feb. 4t at Kelly’s Tavern starting at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $50 per person and the reservations include r light appetizers, full dinner buffet and dessert served in Kelly’s downstairs Tiffany Room, an Irish pub style private room featuring a large fireplace and private bar.
In honor of the Ocean Grove lifeguards providing 150 years of service to the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association and the community, the OGBF is selling a limited quantity of 150th Anniversary navy long sleeve t-shirts with a commemorative design by local artist John Glenn. All profits from the event and shirt orders will benefit OGBF improvements to the beach. Past projects include funding much needed lifeguard equipment, shower towers, dune grass and plant urns, just to name a few. Additionally, OGBF members have donated their time to plant shrubs and flowers at the beach, re-paint the boardwalk pavilion, and participate in beach clean ups.
