A call has gone out to residents of Tinton Falls to help Boy Scout Troop 124 help those devastated by flooding in Virginia. The troop is leaving for Virginia on July 9 for the High Adventure expedition.
The boys will be camping near the area that was recently devastated by the torrential rains which caused historic flooding to the area.
The troop is collecting small items that have the biggest impact on daily life such as: tooth brushes, tooth paste, combs, bars of soap and other common items used on a daily basis.
Anyone wishing to donate may contact Troop 124 Committee Chair, Gary DuBois at (732) 865-0378 or drop the items off at his home 317 Green Grove Road {side door Box}, a half mile North of Asbury Avenue between Lakeview and Julia Court.
Items will be accepted until 7 p.m. July 8.
