Arnone has spent the last 15 years serving his community through his work as an elected official, serving as councilman, mayor of Neptune City and past president of the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, before becoming a Freeholder in 2011. In order to support local businesses and give visitors the great experience they are looking for, Freeholder Director Arnone put in place numerous marketing efforts for the 2012 Monmouth County Tourism season.

“I am extremely honored to be recognized by MODC for my efforts to promote tourism,” Arnone said. “Tourism is extremely important and I have actively worked towards improving tourism in the County, which injects $2.1 billion into the local economy and supports 30,000 jobs.”

MODC recently announced this year’s Silver Gull Awards winners. Categories include MODC Service, Community Service and Economic Development.

Arnone’s goal is to continue to build the economic vitality of Monmouth County by advancing a county public information and tourism marketing campaign that will increase the number of visitors, visitor expenditures and tax revenues.

The annual Silver Gull Awards Dinner will take place on May 2, 2013 at Jumping Brook Country Club, Neptune. Visit www.modc.com for more information.
