ASBURY PARK – The city of Asbury Park said the 25th Annual Asbury Park Jazz Festival has been postponed. New date has not been scheduled.
Due to the extensive recovery efforts after Sandy required to restore the city, management did not have sufficient time to plan, secure entertainment and raise sponsorship dollars to successful host the 2013 Asbury Park Jazz Festival. Since this is the 25th anniversary of this wonderful event, it was decided to postpone the festival, so a celebration worthy of the tradition established over past 25 years can be designed.
Asbury Park officials will consider a fall date or skipping a year and holding the 25th Anniversary Asbury Park Jazz Festival in the last weekend in June of 2014.
