Ray & Dolly Sternesky, Asbury Park
On June 15th we started the summer with our 50th wedding anniversary at the Doubletree Hilton in Tinton Falls.
We had many friends from Asbury and relatives from all over.
Other than that we never leave Asbury Park in the summer. Why go anywhere else?
Julio Bravo & Joanne Martinez, Mexico
We spent the summer in Asbury.
The fireworks on the 4th of July were super fun.
We like to walk on the beach. We stay in Asbury Park.

I work the beach at 5th Avenue, this year the record crowds – especially on the weekends.
They say Asbury is coming back – forget that – it’s not coming back, it is back!
That’s the biggest highlight for me.
The highlight for me is that Asbury Park is back.
George & Edna Christiana, Asbury Park
We went on a 5 day cruise to Bermuda.
Although we had some rain, it was great.
Eating, drinking, entertainment and getting away. It was all good.
The rest of the summer we spent on the beach here. Which was also good.
Daniella Cundiff & Kerri D’Esposito, Long Branch
We visited our nieces in South Carolina, who we haven’t seen in a few years. It was beautiful to see how much they have grown.
We brought a new truck, so we gave them their first car.
They’ve grown into two beautiful young women and we’re very proud of them.
Mark Delgado Asbury Park
The highlight of my summer has to be the whole activity of Asbury Park coming back.
After Sandy I had my doubts but I’m glad to see it back.
I work for Asbury Waterfront. Our mission is to get connected, get visible and get active.
We’re doing all of the above.

Cathy: The quiet time on the beach in Asbury after work when the suns going down. The ocean is like crystal.
I did sunrise paddle boarding on Deal lake. It was the best experience ever.
Marlene: I’ve been coming here for years. Watching the bands; the music. A great fan.
And the fireworks on the 4th of July were the best fireworks ever.
Greg LaPlaca, LaPlaca’s
Probably the days it didn’t rain.
The summer started off wet and cold. Then it was oppressively hot.
But the end of July and the beginning of August have been really nice.
The 4th of july weekend in Asbury Park was tremendous.
It was good for everybody.

The highlight of our summer was rescuing a hummingbird.
We found her stuck to a box of junk in the garage.
We used a syringe to feed him. He finally snapped back.
The next day, she came back to thank us by flying around Joann’s face several times.
Drew Paterson, Lexi Caruso, Lauren Greco & Joe Contey, Asbury Park
We spent the summer in Asbury Park.
We go to Watermark a lot, Stella Marina and Porta. Having drinks with good friends.
We dance a lot, ridiculous dancing.
We really love Asbury Park. It’s very diverse, with all unique establishments it allows us to experience.
