Members of the Class of 1945 of Neptune High School are invited to an event Wed., April 8 at at the Jersey Shore Arts Center at the entrance to Ocean Grove to see the memorial display in the “Remembering the 40” Room.
Family members of Samuel E. Findler have also been invited. Findler attended Neptune High School but left before graduating to join the Navy during World War II.
Findler became a pioneer in the communications field. He played an integral role advancing many of the Army’s subsequent communications satellites. He worked in the private sector for government contractors following his military service in both the Army and the Navy.
He would have graduated with the class of 1945 and the school board acknowledges the awarding of an Honorary Diploma to his family.
