Former Gov. Jim McGreevey, who works with ex-prisoners and recovering addicts, is speaking on staying out of prison at an appearance at the Second Baptist Church of Asbury Park Saturday, Aug. 15.
Doors open at 10 a.m. at the church at 124 Atkins Ave. McGreevey’s talk is scheduled for 10:45 a.m.
McGreevey will speak about relapsing into criminal activity, which leads to imprisonment, and the need for job opportunities so people do not resort to criminal activity, said Dan Harris, chairman of the Men’s Ministry at the church.
The program is open to all in the public. More information is available from Harris, telephone 732-890-2533.
