Second Baptist Church of Asbury Park will host a ceremony to welcome its new pastor, Semaj Y. Vanzant Sr. He is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and former pastor of Christ Experience Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He has been at the Asbury Park church since Sun., Jan. 3.
Two celebration services have been scheduled at Second Baptist Church and and the public is invited.
The first one is Sun., April 17 at the 10 a.m. Worship Service. The guest preacher will be Rev. Dr. Johnnie Baylor of Judson Baptist Church, Carson, California. The actual Installation service will take place at 5 p.m with guest preacher Rev. Dr. Wayne E. Croft, Sr. of St. Paul Baptist Church, West Chester, Pa.
All services will be held at Second Baptist Church, 124 Atkins Avenue, Asbury Park.
The mission of the Second Baptist Church is to recruit, develop and empower Christian disciples through the Word of God, which will result in a change in our personal lives and the community that is served.
