Asbury Park is well known as a pet friendly town with its own dog beach and ‘Yappy Hour’ for socializing. Sierra Jack Pet Foods wants to be sure your best friend is also eating well.
Jack Bradshaw, a.k.a. Sierra Jack, is the owner of a pet food company that delivers a line of dog and cat food to your door that he says is healthier and fresher than the products sold at big box stores, and costs less.
Sierra Jack Pet Foods is only available on line and is delivered in no-frills packaging by someone who wants to know you and your pet and develop a personal relationship. They have nine varieties of dog food, their number 1 seller is a chicken and brown rice, and they also have four grain-free varieties for dogs that are sensitive. For cats, Sierra Jack has two varieties, including a lower fat product for older and more sedentary indoor felines and also a kitten formula.
All Sierra Jack Pet Food is made in America at an AAFCO facility in Ohio. AAFCO is the Association of American Feed Control Officials. And it comes with a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. The question isn’t what’s in Sierra Jack Pet Foods, it’s what isn’t there. Bradshaw says there are no byproducts, no artificial preservatives or chemical dyes, no added sugars, soy, wheat or cheap fillers.
The company has been in business since 2001, and Bradshaw became a customer when working as a psychotherapist in Bergen County. He moved to Asbury Park in 2009 and formed his own LLC and became a full time representative for the company, then known as Sierra National.
“I was ready for a change after 30 years as a psychotherapist and everyone started calling me Sierra Jack, so I changed the name because I thought it sounded better.” Bradshaw now lives in Tinton Falls and is recruiting others to help introduce the Sierra Jack products in the Monmouth-Ocean area. He has several dog groomers and dog walkers giving out samples.
