Commemorating Springsteen’s 70th birthday, “Long Walk Home” explores his legacy and provides a stirring set of testimonials that illustrated why his music matters.  Brief remarks from the authors will be given every hour beginning at 4:30 p.m. Cocktails and light refreshments will be served.

The book preview will be held on Friday, Sept. 20 from 4 to 8 pm at Gold Group Enterprises, 621 Lake Avenue, Unit 3, in Asbury Park.

Authors at the preview include Jonathan D. Cohen, Daniel Wolff and Kenneth Womack.

“Long Walk Home” will be in bookstores on Sept. 23 and that release date was very deliberately chosen. Long Walk Home is an anthology of essays meant to mark and celebrate the artist’s impact on his 70th birthday

The book is edited by Jonathan D. Cohen and June Skinner Sawyers. It is comprised of 26 essays, thematically grouped. Categories include Springsteen as songwriter, as a live performer, and his politics and religion, on issues including race, gender and sex.
