Candidates running for mayor and Borough Council seats in Neptune City this November will make their cases to the public at a Candidates’ Forum Mon., Oct. 21 at 6:30 pm at the Neptune City Community Center, 117 Third Ave., Neptune City.
Running for mayor are Republican Councilman Andrew Wardell and Democratic Councilwoman Pamela Renee.
In the Borough Council race, the four candidates vying for two seats are Councilwoman Michelle Lewis, Democrat; Meghan Huryk, Democrat and Republicans Brian Thomas and Danielle Pappas.
The public is urged to bring their questions.
Sponsored by The Neptune City Homeowners Association, the forum is organized and moderated by the League of Women Voters of Southern Monmouth County. Girl Scouts from Troop 902 will help gather audience questions.
In extending their invitation to candidates, the NCHA wrote “We hope this event will serve as a non-partisan platform for you to both engage and inform the citizens of Neptune City while presenting your point of view on issues important to them.”
The forum will be recorded for later viewing on the League website, LWVSMC.org
