Asbury Park City Clerk Dies at 48

Cindy A. Dye of Burlington City, who served as Asbury Park city clerk for five years, died March 10.

Dye, 48, was born in Willingboro and was a longtime resident of Burlington Township before moving to Hightstown where she lived for the last 20 years until recently returning to Burlington City.

She was past president of the Beverly Road Fire Company No. 2 in Burlington Township and was a volunteer and foster for the dog rescue Wag on Inn. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos.

She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Florence (nee Wostair) Farley, and her brother Daniel Farley. She is survived by her husband Carl Dye, Jr., her daughter Hailey and son Daniel, her sisters and brother in law, Annette and Charles J. Zelauskas and Denise Farley Curiale as well as several nieces, nephews and other family members. A life celebration service will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions made to Wag on Inn, PO Box 221 Oakhurst, NJ 07755 would be appreciated by her family.
