“I did my first concert for my fans but that 600 number has now gone up to 12,000 views on the Internet,” he said.

The remote acoustic-guitar performance can be seen every Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. via Facebook on the Pat Roddy Band page.

Roddy’s second performance, and the first for a charity, raised about $7,5000 for Fulfill (formerly The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties). His next concert will raise money for Interfaith Neighbors in Asbury Park.

“The money goes directly to the charity; there is no middle man,” he said.

Fans can either donate money through the Facebook page or pay $30 to request a song  Roddy will perform.

And Roddy said he wants to continue to do the performances.

“I will do them ad infinitum, or as long as I feel it is needed. These are hard times and a lot of people are out of work. I just feel I need to do God’s will,” he said.
