Asbury Park has launched the SDL Citizen platform, a mobile app and web-based tool for residents, businesses and professionals to conveniently access public data, search property information and submit municipal requests.

“The SDL Citizen platform is an incredibly useful tool in managing municipal government, especially during a pandemic. It helps support continuous operations and allows staff to provide a better customer experience to the public,” says City Manager Donna Vieiro, “The platform lets us integrate departments and share informational better internally, streamlines the development process, and syncs data from multiple City Departments, providing a more comprehensive view of property history.”

“We hope to open City Hall to the public soon, but in the meantime, we are pleased to be able to offer an easy online alternative to our residents,” Councilwoman Eileen Chapman said.“The SDL platform helps those looking for municipal services from reporting a concern and renewing Mercantile Licenses to submitting Dog License applications. We encourage everyone to sign up and take advantage of this useful platform.”

To access the SDL Citizen platform, users will be required to set up an account using a unique email address and searching for “Asbury Park.” The platform can be accessed through the web-based tool by visiting www.sdlportal.com or by going to www.cityofasburypark.com and clicking on “Report a Concern.” The SDL Citizen Mobile App can be downloaded to an iOS or Android device by searching for “SDL Citizen” in the Google Play or Apple Store.

Current SDL platform capabilities include reporting concerns, searching property information, checking permit statuses, submitting Dog License applications and renewing Mercantile Licenses.

The city is currently working on adding additional functions to the SDL platform including Short Term Rental, Certificate of Occupancy, Transfer of Title, Building Permit and Zoning applications.

To create an SDL Citizen account, visit www.sdlportal.com and search for “Asbury Park.”
