The Asbury Park beach season begins Memorial Day weekend.
To access the beach, beach passes (badges or wristbands) must be worn at all times and will be checked on your way onto the sand. Beach passes are required starting Sat., May 27 at 9 a.m. through Sun., June 11 on weekends and holidays only; and every day from Mon., June 12 through Mon., Sept. 4.
Beach passes will not be required to access the beach starting on Tues., Sept. 5. Based on weather and staffing availability, lifeguards may still be on duty after Labor Day Weekend.
2023 Season Beach Badge rates: Adults $70; Seniors (62+ with valid ID) $20; Teens (13-17) $20. 2023 Daily Beach Pass rates: Monday to Friday $6; Weekends and Holidays $9. Children 12 and under are free, but must be supervised by an adult.
Active Military personnel and their dependents are free. Retired, disabled and non-active veterans are free.
Season beach badges are on sale through the Viply mobile app (www.viplypass.com). They can also be purchased in-person at the Beach Office (First Avenue on the Boardwalk) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Season beach badge sales will continue throughout the season. Starting Memorial Day Weekend, daily beach passes will be available for sale through the Viply mobile app, at credit card kiosks along the Boardwalk and at the Beach Office.
Playgrounds located at Second and Seventh are free of charge and a beach pass is not required to access them.
In an effort to keep our beaches clean, beach-goers are encouraged to always carry out what you carried in.
