On May 30 on Ocean Park Avenue two 17 year old juveniles, both from Asbury Park, were arrested for stealing an unlocked bicycle from a residential yard. Sgt. Michael Tardio made the arrest.
On June 11 on Main Street: A 17 year old juvenile from Neptune was arrested for receiving stolen property, eluding and obstructing the administration of law.
Ptlm. Anthony Badalamenti observed a motor vehicle traveling north on Main Street and attempted to stop it for traffic violations. The vehicle continued into Asbury Park where the occupants stopped and fled on foot into surrounding streets. Police Officer Badalamenti quickly apprehended on fleeing subject without incident. The vehicle was found to have been stolen from Howell Township, where it had been left unlocked with the key fob inside. The Detective Bureau is continuing the investigation to identify and arrest the second juvenile who was not immediately apprehended.
An officer from the K-9 Unit was deployed to assist in a search of a vehicle stopped by the Asbury Park Police Department.
The Bradley Beach Police Department investigated eight motor vehicle accidents and arrested three individuals for Contempt of Court between May 22 and June 13.
