Neptune Day returns this year Sept. 9 with fun and attractions including midway carnival games with prizes, and lots of inflatables.
Mayor Keith Cafferty and the Township Committee kick off the opening ceremony at noon on Sand the festivities will continue until 5 p.m. The event will be held at the Middle and High School parking lots, on Heck Avenue, and the rain date is Sunday Sept. 10.
A rock climbing wall, video gaming truck, obstacle course, fun fair inflatable, triple slide, knight’s castle, corn maze inflatable, Hippo Chow Down, slam dunk basketball, face painting, balloon animals, music, cold beverages, craft and food vendors round out the event. Hackensack-Meridian is planning an entire Healthcare section as well.
All the familiar Neptune Day favorites are scheduled—inflatables, pony rides, petting zoo, local and municipal organizations, vendors with crafts, jewelry, and treasures, and maybe a few more surprises! The event is free, and there will be items for sale, including crafts, beverages, and food—like BBQ, fried fish, shaved ice, and bundt cakes and funnel cake for dessert!
Hackensack-Meridian Health, Brookdale Community College, Imperial Healthcare, Nelson Realtors, 107.1 The Boss, Monmouth County Park System, Jack Green Realty, and Jersey Central Power and Light have helped make the activities possible as event sponsors.
