On Oct. 31 Bradley Beach police responded to an automobile that was on fire inside a local business establishment on Main Street. The fire began when work was being done on the car. Employees quickly evacuated and called 911.
When police arrived the business sprinklers had the blaze under control, and eventually the Bradley Beach Fire Department with the assistance of neighboring towns responded and fully extinguished the fire. Police were assisted my members of the Bradley Beach Office of Emergency Management to handle crowd and traffic control.
In other police news a motor vehicle that was previously stolen from Bradley Beach was recovered in Virginia by customs agents in a shipping container set to sail to Africa. Detective Gregory Pancza is leading that investigation.
Operation Take Back was held on Sat., Oct. 28 and the Bradley Beach Police Department collected a total of 9 pounds of unwanted medication.
The Bradley Beach Police Department arrested one subject on an active contempt of court warrant and investigated eleven motor vehicle accidents between Sept. 25 and Nov. 6.
