The Friends of the Bradley Beach Library are holding their Holiday Handcrafted Tabletop Tree Sale for the upcoming Christmas season.
An annual tradition at the library for the last seven years, the colorful and unique trees are now on display and available for purchase at the borough library.
Lenore Decovsky, president of the Friends group, said the sale features only artificial trees standing 10 inches to 36 inches tall. Prices range from $5 to $30.
The trees come in a variety of colors and each feature a different theme such as sports, pets and the beach.
“They are all hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind tabletop trees made by the Friends of the Bradley Beach Library,” she said. “We just had a tree-crafting session at the library. We do this workshop to create the trees every year. It’s a fun night where we get together as a pre-holiday event.”
Decovsky said the tree sale is a fundraiser for the library with all proceeds from the sale going to provide the library with funds for items not provided in the library budget.
As part of the tree fundraiser, the sale will also include reindeer sleds and other decorated holiday items.
According to Decovsky, the group trees will also be for sale at the Bradley Beach Business Community Alliance “Holiday Market and Music” event Sun., Dec. 3 at Riley Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For more information on the holiday tree sale go to the Bradley Beach Library website or the Library’s Facebook page. The Friends group is also asking for any Bradley Beach beach passes from any year that anyone is willing to donate. Call the Bradley Beach Library at 732-776-2995 for more information.
