Jean Westfall Hones of Jack Green Realty, Ocean Grove, is celebrating 37 years as a realtor associate with 22 of those years in Ocean Grove.
Prior to her career in Ocean Grove, she was a realtor in Bergen County. Hones began her real estate career in 1978 and has qualified many times for the Medallion and the President’s Clubs and many times for the New Jersey Association of Realtors Million Dollar Club.
A native of West Virginia, she moved to New Jersey with her husband and three children. She is now a widow and says that working in real estate over the years with people has been a blessing. She also has two daughters-in-law and one son in-law and five grandchildren.
When she moved to the area she immediately became involved in activities in Ocean Grove. She is an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Great Auditorium Ushers where she is the chairman of the Social Committee.
Her husband Leonard, had been an usher at the Great Auditorium.
She is a Life member of the Ocean Grove .Historical Society, a former docent at Centennial Cottage and a hostess for the summer and Christmas Tours. She also served as secretary and President of the 0cean Grove Chamber of Commerce.
She also volunteered at the Algonquin Arts Theater, Manasquan and was co-president of the Monmouth Symphony League of the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra. She also maintains a membership in The League of Women Voters and A.A.U.W.. She is a member of Ascension Church in Bradley Beach.
