Ocean Grove’s Annual Giant Craft Show is scheduled for Sat., June 20 rain or shine on Ocean Pathway.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the show will be filled with one-of-a-kind crafters showcasing handmade items including pottery, unique clothing, decorative storage boxes, wreaths, candles, soaps, handbags and wonderful statement-making pieces of original jewelry. With over 250 crafters, this show is on par with some of the largest craft shows in the country. All of these products are handmade in the USA.
One of this year’s crafters will be John and Trish Hamm of Hamm’s Art Studio. This creative couple has been photographing the Jersey Shore since 1987, and they have been attendees of the Ocean Grove Craft show for nearly 20 years. John is a self-taught photographer, printer and framer whose “artistic purpose is to capture the serenity of the ocean and nature to show how it gives back to our spirit with an endless resource of enlightenment.”
His love of the beach shines through his work.
“I find a soulfulness here that I find nowhere else,” he said.
The pair have a special spot in their hearts for the Ocean Grove community; “being a part of the Ocean Grove craft show is like being home.”
The public is invited to this free event.
