During the early morning hours, officers stopped a 44-year old Long Branch man for a motor vehicle violation and found the man was unlicensed (never having had a license) and his driving privileges were also suspended. He was processed and released on 3 summonses, with a pending court date, and the vehicle was released to a properly licensed driver. Ptl Rapolla was the arresting officer.

After stopping a 39-year old Neptune man for a motor vehicle violation, the officer found the man was driving with a fictitious temporary license plate and the vehicle had no insurance. The driver was processed and released on 4 motor vehicle summonses, with a pending court date and the vehicle was impounded. Sgt Lipari was the arresting officer.

Officers responded to a Spier Avenue residence after a 911 call reported a construction worker was stuck in the home’s attic. Upon their arrival, officers were told the man was able to free himself prior to their arrival.

He was processed and released on 2 summonses, with a pending court date. The registered owner of the vehicle was also issued a summons for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate their vehicle. Officers responded to an Allen Avenue location for a report of a vehicle that had one of its windows broken. While on location, officers determined it was a deliberate act and the vehicle had been entered. The suspect vehicle, reported stolen in Asbury Park, was found in Paterson. This matter remains an active investigation and the investigating officer is hoping to identify, and charge, at least one of the suspects shortly. Sgt Lipari is handling this investigation.
