A Long Branch teen was arrested Aug. 20 in connection with a stolen car in Ocean Township.
Ocean Township Police said they were called to an address in the Wayside section of the township for a stolen motor vehicle. When police arrived on the scene to take the report of the missing Acura they were able to gather more information. The vehicle was subsequently located in Long Branch. After processing it was returned to the owner.
The investigation led to the arrest of Lucas Messias De Castro, 18, of Long Branch. He was charged with burglary and two counts of theft. He was released on a summons pending a future court date.
