Ocean Township police are seeking the public’s help in an investigation into a hit and run Sat., July 15.
Police said at approximately 3:30 pm, officers were dispatched to the area of West Park Avenue and Fanwood Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian with non life-threatening injuries. During the investigation, it was learned that the vehicle who struck the pedestrian had left the scene of the crash.
The vehicle in question is a smaller black SUV with silver rims and a white license plate. The driver of the SUV was described as a white female, no further description was provided.
Anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash and may have information is asked to contact Officer Ryan Krug of the Traffic Safety Bureau at 732-531-1800.
