Sept. 16

Officers responded to the Beach Club for a report of a theft. The incident was only documented at the time, as per the victim. SO II Griffin was the investigating officer.

Police charged a 31-year old North Carolina woman for driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.  She was released on a summons, with a pending court date. Ptl Nichols was the involved officer

After stopping a 55-year-old Oakhurst man for a moving violation on Ocean Avenue, police found he was unlicensed. He was processed and released on 2 summonses, with a pending court date. SO II Grifin was the involved officer.

During the late evening hours,  officers stopped a 35-year old Long Branch man for an equipment violation and found he was unlicensed (never having had a license). He was processed and released on 2 summonses, with a pending court date. The registered owner of the vehicle was also issued 2 summonses. Ptl Kroeger was the arresting officer.

   Sept. 17

Police stopped 3 subjects who were observed walking on the train tracks. Each of them was found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage.  Each was issued a ordinance summons and released. Ptl Nichols was the investigating officer and was assisted by Sgt Rapolla.

During the evening hours, officers stopped a 25-year-old Neptune man for an equipment violation and found he was unlicensed (never having had a license) and his driving privileges were also suspended. He was processed and released on 3 summonses, with a pending court date. The registered owner was also issued a summons for allowing an unlicensed/suspended  person to operate their vehicle. Ptl Nichols was the arresting officer.

   Sept. 19

Police arrested a 40-year-old Brooklyn woman on an outstanding Allenhurst warrant. Full cash bail was posted and the subject was given a new court date. SO II Nichols was the arresting officer.

  Sept. 20

After stopping a 26-year-old East Newark man for an equipment violation, police found the man had active warrants out of Eatontown, Harrison and Atlantic Highlands. He was taken into custody without incident.  He was processed and turned over to Eatontown officers, after being issued 3 Allenhurst summonses.  Sgt Rapolla was the arresting officer.

   Sept. 22

Officers responded to a Corlies Avenue location for a report of a minor motor vehicle crash. A report was filed and no summonses were issued. Ptl Nichols was the investigating officer.

   Sept. 23

Officers responded to a Spier Avenue residence for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly taken by an acquaintance of the vehicle’s owner. During the follow up  investigation, officers found the stolen vehicle in Asbury Park and took people into custody, a 60 year-old Asbury Park woman and a 55-year-old Asbury Park man. The woman was charged with motor vehicle theft and possession of drug paraphernalia and the man was charged with obstructing (running from officers), receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were processed and released on criminal summonses, in accordance with bail reform guidelines. The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner. Sgt Lipari was the investigating and arresting officer. Asbury Park officers also assisted in the arrest of both subjects.

   Sept. 25

Police charged a 37-year-old Asbury Park woman with driving while suspended, after stopping her vehicle.  She was processed and released on a summons, with a pending court date. Ptl Bailey was the arresting officer.

Sept 26

After stopping a 45-year old Ewing man for a motor vehicle  violation, police found the vehicle was unregistered and had no vehicle insurance. The man was processed and released on 4 summonses, with a pending court date and the vehicle was impounded. Sgt Rapolla was the arresting officer.

Officers responded to a  Main Street location for a report of harassment.  After speaking with the reporting party, officers determined the activity had taken place in another jurisdiction. The caller was advised how to report the incident to the appropriate police department.  Ptl Eustace was the responding officer.

Sept. 27

After stopping a 24-year-old Asbury Park man for a motor vehicle violation, police found the man was driving with a suspended drivers license and the vehicle was uninsured. The man was processed and released on 2 summonses, with a pending court date, and the vehicle was impounded. Sgt Rapolla was the arresting officer.

Sept. 28

Officers responded to the intersection of Corlies/Norwood Aves. for a 2-vehicle crash, where one vehicle left the roadway. There were no reported injuries.  One vehicle was towed from the scene and one of the drivers was issued a summons for careless driving. Ptl Nichols was the investigating officer and was assisted by Chief Schneider and Sgt Lipari.

Sept. 30

After stopping a 30-year-old New York man for a suspicious license plate, officers confirmed the license plate was fraudulent. The vehicle was also found to be unregistered and without insurance. The man was issued 4 summonses, with a pending court date, and the vehicle was impounded. Ptl Nichols was the arresting officer.

Between Sept. 16 and Sept. 30 officers responded to 13 first aid/fire calls within the Borough.

Allenhurst officers responded to 6 incidents involving a suspicious person or vehicle during this time period as well.

Officers also responded to 23 residential and commercial alarm calls during the above time period.

During this time period officers also responded to 6 animal related calls

Allenhurst officers also assisted another agency 7 times during the above time period.
