The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce’s is planning their annual Awards and Installation Luncheon, to be held on Thurs., Jan. 15 at The English Manor on One English Lane in Wanamassa.
“The networking luncheon allows us to honor individuals and businesses whom we feel have benefitted the community in some important way,” stated GOTCC Executive Director Kim Horn Blanda. “It also provides a forum for us to install our new officers, Trustees and award scholarships to deserving high school seniors,” she added.
The 2015 honorees are: Community Service – Monmouth Medical Center, not the least of which is their “Roll Out the Ribbons” a successful on-going campaign for raise awareness about all kinds of cancer; Community Service – Township of Ocean Councilman William Garofalo for his long-standing contribution to the Township on the Board of Education, Council and in various volunteer capacities; Good Neighbor – The Coaster, a family-owned weekly newspaper dedicated to excellence in supporting the local community and diligence in keeping the public informed; Beautification – CVS Pharmacy, for improving the landscape at a major intersection in the township of Ocean.
Officers of the 2015 Executive Board will include: President – Katherine King of Kearny Federal Savings of Oakhurst; Vice President – Keith Dorney of Edward Jones Investments of Ocean; Treasurer – Kim Rise Somerville of Two River Community Bank of West Long Branch; Secretary – Rose O’Connor Myer of Shore Antique Center of Allenhurst’ and Past President – Nicholas Gradone of Atlantic Kitchen & Bath of Ocean. New Board Trustees include Bentley Alberts of Grass Roots Marketing in Shrewsbury and Elliot Solop, Esq. of Ansell, Grimm and Aaron PC of Ocean.
