Ocean Township police are seeking the public’s help to find a suspect in a reported robbery that happened in the area of the Italian American Festival Friday, Aug. 7.
A 14-year-old boy reported being confronted by four people, including the person who, he says, robbed him of money at Joe Palaia Park, according to police. The suspect is described as a dark-complexion black male, dreadlock-style hair with bleached tips, about 6 feet 1 inch-tall. He was said to be wearing a maroon shirt saying “Diamond Surf Co.,” beige pants and black Jordan sneakers with reflective stripes.
The boy said the suspect hit him in the face and, then, the boy turned over his cash, according to police. The victim was not physically harmed.
