The William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace, 1003 Wickapecko Dr., in the Wanamassa section of Ocean Township opens for the season Sat., March 30.
This municipal regulation nine-hole golf course offers more than 2,600 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par 35.
Hours are 7 a.m. to dusk, seven days a week, weather permitting.
“William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace is conveniently located in Ocean Township,” said Judi Johnson, recreation director for the township. “We continue to make improvements to the course and offer a variety of programs for golfers of all ages and abilities. It’s the ideal setting for a quick round of golf, and as we say, ‘There’s always time for nine!’ ”
The Spring Special offers greens fees for just $13 for all golfers, every day through April 30.
Beginning May 1, the weekday fee for Ocean Township residents is $19 and the weekend fee is $22. Non-residents pay $24 weekdays and $27 on weekends, with discounts for junior and senior golfers, both residents and non-residents.
Enjoy a late afternoon round and save with discounted Twilight fees after 3 p.m. Pull carts, clubs and golf cars are available for rental.
PGA Professional Dale Shankland offers private and group lessons for golfers of all ages and abilities, including a “Get Golf Ready” series for beginner golfers who want to learn how to play in just one week.
Special events and discounts are offered throughout the season, including free golf for Moms on Mother’s Day, free golf for Dads on Father’s Day, a junior tour, family golf clinics and an adult/child tournament.
The course is also home to the First Tee youth golf program.
